Since upgrading to Ubuntu 10.04, changing counters in listings packages isn't possible anymore (worked perfectly with 8.04, 9.04, 9.10).
The Ubuntu folks don't seem to care a lot (Bug #573653), does anyone have an idea how to fix this? Please send me an email.

A solution/workaround seems to be this:

numberbychapter=false,
}
